"And our heart is restless, until it rests in You, Lord" - Saint Augustine

Monthly Prayer Leaflet for the Rosary Teams

Our theme for the year:
“Remain in my love” (Jn 15:9)

Thanks to Jesus our incarnate brother, we know the love of the Father in heaven for his children on earth. For Jesus offers an unconditional love to every man. At Christmas, we discover his vulnerability as a baby who feels safe in Mary's arms. And then in turn we find the acclaim and the contempt of men whose existence he shares. Then finally, we see his cruel passion and death on a Cross. Jesus does not find his executioners back. He loves silently, he forgives, and he even finds excuses for us. "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing..." Lk 23:34

In fact, Jesus lovingly supports the wounded ones, and he takes upon himself the sins of all men, even the greatest ones. He never tires of loving us. His love is faithful. It does not fluctuate, and is not subjected to mood changes or the events of the moment.

"Do not be afraid, says Saint John Paul II" Jesus loves us despite our sins. He asks us to have faith in Him, who is the Merciful Saviour. He patiently awaits for us, sometimes for a whole lifetime.

He wants to teach us how to love others in the way he loves us. After Jesus' death on the cross, "...One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out.” Jn 19: 34. Jesus shows the love of his Heart pierced to St. Margaret Mary in Paray le Monial (France), and more recently in the 20th century, to Sister Faustina in Poland…

He asks these two nuns to pray and to offer their lives so as to reveal to the world the extraordinarily limitless love of his Heart. And He tells them that his Heart suffers from not being loved by humanity. Therefore, "Let us remain in Him". Let us show him our love through daily acts and prayer, let us welcome his love in the depth of our spiritual heart. and let us be his witnesses to the world around us!

Loving and being loved gives an extraordinary strength to live.

May the Immaculate Heart of Mary helps us to fight against the wickedness and snares of the devil. For fear comes from him who is the divider of our lives and never from God. God gives us the Peace and Joy of the Risen Jesus. This is what the sinful woman understands (Lk 7: 36-50). That is why she gives lots of love to Jesus, she puts perfume on his feet, and invents gestures of love for Jesus. She is so happy to be loved that she manifests her immense gratitude for Jesus.

I wish you a good and holy Lent in the Jubilee of Mercy! May Easter be for everyone, a firework of hallelujahs, and may you all receive ‘abundant life’ from the Holy Trinity-The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!
