Mary is the one who does the inviting

Monthly Prayer Leaflet for the Rosary Teams

Our theme for the year:
“Great is the mystery of faith”

When she was invited to the wedding at Cana, Mary took along with her, her son Jesus, as well as the new disciples that Jesus had chosen, (as mentioned in John1:35-55). Jesus was determined to lead his public life in the company of a team. This marked the beginning of the "communion of saints"…

Together with us, Mary invites new people to join the team! Then she asks her son Jesus to consider our lack of wine, of life and of joy. She also wanted him to see the consequences of a lack of wine on a wedding day: What a great shame it would be for the new couple, for their family, and even for all the villagers!

By the time you receive the November leaflet, your team will have started the colloquium on "Mary and the new evangelization", that took place in Rome (12-13 October). All the Rosary teams would have been represented. Remember that Mary pleads with Jesus so that each member of the Rosary team becomes able to recover his dignity as a child of God, and lives in the light of the Gospel.

With Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, God opens up the source of forgiveness so that 'all men may be saved' (St Dominique while quoting the plea of St Paul)

So, in the 'communion of the whole Church', we pray for suffering mankind in search of a saviour.

O Mary, pray for us sinners, and for the entire world!

Thus, Rosary teams, all over the world, can live the communion of saints. In the Eucharist, Mary invites us to already experience the joy of "the banquet given by the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world"

Each team is part of the organic communion of the whole Church, as taught by Jesus.

From there starts the new evangelization which reaches our homes, our neighborhoods, and our villages.

Yes, through us, Mary invites the whole of mankind to respond to the Gospel which is the Good News that salvation is offered to all.
