"Tuus totus ego sum, et omnia mea tua sunt"

Monthly Prayer Leaflet for the Rosary Teams

Our theme for the year:
“Great is the mystery of faith”

May be I was a bit high and mighty when, at the beginning of my mandate as international coordinator, I chose as e-mail address: 'totus tuus'. I did not fully realize then what this would involve for me. I had found the expression quite beautiful and, little by little I became fully aware of the demands of my choice. Karol Wojtyla, the future Pope John Paul II had chosen that motto in 1958 when he was appointed Bishop. Trying to do the same revealed to be a task that was beyond my spiritual abilities, and that, despite Mary's help.

I said 'yes' to Simone Sacaze when I agreed to take over in 2007. She said that it was a 'yes' given to Mary. Between this and the "totus. Tuus" - ('All for you Mary'), you are all to be found, my dear friends of the Rosary teams who are all over the world. You are the ones who have read my editorials every two months; you have meditated the leaflets that I wrote and that our dear translators have faithfully translated.; you have regularly corresponded with me; you have welcomed me warmly in your countries; you have answered my invitations to come to France; all of you that I know by name only, or by a photo...

Then there is Brother Gilles, and Claire, Angèle, Martine, and Brigitte, upon whom I could rely so as to enhance the international dimension of the Rosary Teams. I cannot thank them enough for all their support and encouragement.

Dear friends, you know that our movement is dynamic and that supported by the Gospel with Mary, it is renewed. I want you to know that it is with much joy that I transmit this mission to Thérèse today. I am even happier about this since the handover will have been made during our last international committee meeting at Saint Laurent on Sèvre . This is the very place where Father Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort chose the motto: "Totus tuus ego sum, et omnia mea tua sunt" that he translated into:" I am all in all to you, and all that I have is yours, O beloved Jesus, through Mary, your holy mother."

By the grace of Christ, the Saviour, and through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, may our hope leads us on to go further and further.
