Let us sing the canticle of the Magnificat with Mary !

Monthly Prayer Leaflet for the Rosary Teams

Our theme for the year:
“To hope against all hope” (Rom 4:18)

Yes, Christ comes in his glory! This is what we live in the time of Advent as we have the great hope that at the end, Christ will come for the living and for the dead in order to take this world into the Kingdom where God will be all in all! Yes, our future and that of all mankind is in God and not in the hands of the powerful of this world who are capable of destroying the earth today. They are capable of the worst when they take the place of God, but also capable of the best when they listen to the humble and the weak.

What does this great hope rely on? On the fact that God keeps his promises: He sent his Son not to condemn the world but to save it. Jesus is the Savior of the world who went up to the end of his mission by giving his life on the cross. But God raised him from the dead and made him enter his glory. He drew his mother Mary in his glory and wish to draw us too in his glory as he is the firstborn from the dead, the firstborn of many brethren. That is to say that we walk after him!

God keeps his promises and we know that at Christmas the Word was made flesh! God has visited his people; he did not abandon us into the darkness of sin! God is definitely with us through Jesus Christ born of Mary!
That is why Mary sings her Magnificat while John the Baptist dances in Elisabeth womb : Joy is back on earth because God is with us!

At Christmas, we sing the event of God who comes in the flesh!!
At the end of time, God will come in his glory because He is the conqueror of death!

Between the two advents, this is the time of the Church, our time!
And the Risen Jesus does not cease to be with us: He gives us His Holy Spirit, He tells us his word, he gives himself in the Eucharist and lets himself be met in our brothers, especially those who suffer in their bodies, their hearts and their minds.
That's why we sing "Magnificat" with Mary!
In December 2014, like Mary, I suggest that each member of the Rosary Teams writes or says his/her "Magnificat" by telling about the wonders of God who keeps his promises in their lives!

Together with Mary let us all sing our "Magnificat"
in thanksgiving for Jesus our Savior!
