Monthly Prayer Leaflet for the Rosary Teams
Our theme for the year:
“To hope against all hope” (Rom 4:18)
Our eyes are on this "Woman, clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet" (Revelation 12:1). She is not the sun, and she does not take the place of her Son. But she reflects the light of His resurrection.
She is not a goddess, she is the mother of God, Jesus truly God and truly man. In her assumption Mary realizes Jesus' promise. He said: "Lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me." (John 12:32).
Our Lady of Hope, who is the fulfillment of what God has promised, is now in heaven.
And if Jesus, the firstborn from the dead, the first born of many brothers and sisters as stated by St. Paul, kept his promise to his mother, he will also keep His promise to us all, even if we are as numerous as the stars in the sky.
Therefore, Mary, crowned in heaven, and with the help of the angels, the saints and the blessed, ensures a reign of hope in the heart of the men who thirst for God. The angels and saints support us with their prayers, and with hope.
That's why we stand firm in our faith in the risen Christ. For his victory over death opens the way through death to this New Earth. It is the Kingdom of God where together with the huge crowd of witnesses, we shall see him as he is!
If we doubt the resurrection of the crucified Jesus it means that we despair of life and so shall have a failed life. But to believe in the risen Jesus, is to make of this life the path of learning to be loving where Jesus awaits us, energizes us until our last breath!
The Rosary Teams are that school of prayer, of sharing and of life where with Mary we can keep hope even beyond death.
Yes, crowned with stars, she is the first to lead the way. Do you want to follow her? You will find joy if you do so!
