The visit and the home

Monthly Prayer Leaflet for the Rosary Teams

Our theme for the year:
“I must stay at your house today” (Luke 19, 1-10)

It all starts with the visit, that is to say, the meeting, recognizing the face of he/she who comes to meet me. In opening the door, the protective barrier falls : all that is left is the reality of mutually looking at each other, the nakedness of being face to face.

St. Luke has chosen the language of a visit to qualify the mission of Jesus as a dynamic meeting.
St John, coming last, accomplishes the visit at home. After the rush, the rest. After the meeting, the friendship. After filling up, the unravelling of the tapestry of our life. Or rather, savouring in peace and joy the lasting meeting, which transfigures time and gives a foretaste of eternity !

God is Love, the dwelling of Love. The Father is in the Son and the Son in the Father. Through the Holy Spirit, God is alive in the Son and the Son in the Father. Through the Holy Spirit, God comes to make his home in our hearts. For the beloved Son of the Father became one of us : in Jesus, God has established his dwelling place among us.

And so, the Rosary Teams, through the visits and the meetings, the gatherings allow the God of love to make his home among us. Then, we become bearers of God to our brothers and sisters.
